SIPA DESIGN AND LAB TESTING FOR WINE BOTTLES
PET bottles for wine are increasing in popularity especially in some countries/regions and for some reasons related
MOREThe alcoholic beverage sector is extremely varied in terms of line production capacity (from the small capacities of some lines for wine and spirits, to the high speed lines for beer), products to be filled, types of container and packaging.
"Care and attention to the product and packaging"
Considering the high value of the filled product and the care for the appearance of the bottles and packaging, one feature common to all the lines in this sector is the great care taken to avoid any type of damage to the finished product, in order to guarantee an impeccable image when it is displayed on the shelf for sale.
The lines are frequently multi-option: the bottles can be sent to storage containers for product ageing in the cellar and subsequent re-insertion in the line, furthermore the line itself may envisage various packaging solutions.
"Great flexibility on cartoning"
SIPA is able to supply complete, flexible, high-efficiency lines for PET and glass bottles for beer, wine and alcoholic beverages, to satisfy any specific needs.
More specifically, the experience and broadness of the range leave the greatest freedom in terms of packaging type: it is able to cover a wide range of speeds and, thanks also to the precision and flexibility of robot controlled applications, it provides the optimal response for all operations requiring complex handling operations such as cartooning of horizontal, crossed, or flipped bottles etc.
Sipa's considerable experience in the production of innovative, high performance containers, which respond to the specific needs of the alcoholic beverage sector, makes it the ideal partner for all companies intending to replace their traditional glass bottles with the latest development in PET containers, or to produce both types.
These new bottles guarantee excellent performance in terms of product protection, combined obviously with the fact that they are light-weight and unbreakable, and this transforms into considerable savings during movement and final distribution.
The broadness of the range and the ability to customise our solutions for alcoholic beverage filling lines means we can provide the best possible response to the requirements of such a diverse and complex market.
Alcoholic beverages are all drinks that contain alcohol. According to the way in which this alcohol is produced, whether by fermentation, distillation or mere addition, it is possible to distinguish between different types of alcoholic beverage such as beer, wine, liqueurs, spirits and alcoholic beverages such as cocktails.

beer and wine are very sensitive to oxygen and light, both UV and visible. In order to prolong product shelf-life there are several barrier solutions. To improve light and oxygen barrier properties, bottles can be produced with the addition of barrier agents blended with the resin (nylon MXD6, EVOH, oxygen scavengers) or using multilayer preforms (PET+EVOH, PET+Nylon o PET+Nylon+barrier additive).
PET is increasingly used as an alternative to metal for large kegs, from 5 to 30 litres. PET kegs are disposable, so there is no need to collect the empty containers and clean them before using them again, resulting in savings
