Turkish beverage company pours praise on SIPA for its latest SINCRO BLOC system for big PET mineral water bottles

Turkish beverage company DSL Grup could not be happier with its new PET bottle blowing and filling line from SIPA. The line, installed a few months ago at DSL Grup’s plant in Sapanca and now producing lightweight five-liter mineral water bottles at the rate of 6600 units an hour, is based on SIPA’s new SFL6/6XXL six-cavity linear stretch-blow molding system. The five-liter bottles have 38-mm necks, and each one weighs just 59.5 g.

The SFL6/6XXL was supplied in a Sincro Bloc configuration, which brings together high-performance SIPA blowing and filling systems in a compact, fully integrated package. In this case, the Sincro Bloc pairs the SFL6/6XXL with a BIGFILL 18-6 volumetric gravity-filling unit. The complete filling line also includes labeling and shrink-wrapping systems and a Genius-PTF/2 palletizing system. DSL Grup chose SIPA after almost three years of positive experience with an earlier linear stretch-blow molding system, an SFL6/4XL, which is now integrated into a line producing and filling 10-liter still mineral water bottles.

“Our satisfaction with the previous generation of SIPA equipment gave us the confidence we needed to go back to SIPA when we decided to make another important investment in blowing and filling,” says General Manager Kenan Dişli. “The SIPA Sincro Bloc system is very compact, and its layout fitted perfectly into our production area. We very much appreciated the way SIPA took all our needs, as well as the site conditions, into consideration during the design of the whole line configuration.

“SIPA also offered the system at an attractive price, which is always important! On top of that, the installation was delivered and installed on time. It is very economical, but at the same SIPA is very good at developing new technology.” Dişli praises the quality of service he obtains from SIPA’s team in Turkey too. In fact, he says it is “perfect. It is clear they know exactly what they are doing, and they always react very quickly to our needs. They are fast at finding the solution to any problem we might have – they don’t stop until the issue is completely dealt with. We can see that SIPA values the customer, and that gives us a lot of confidence them.

” SIPA’s SFL/6XXL forms part of a complete series of Sincro Bloc fully integrated PET bottle blowing/filling/capping systems based on linear and also rotary stretch-blow molding units. Beverage companies can now choose the line that best fits their production requirement for formats of all sizes. The latest SFL types fulfill a need, which SIPA found particularly notable among customers bottling water and edible oil, for clean and compact systems for larger formats up to 12 liters – which can only be met with linear stretch-blowers.

SFL Sincro Bloc units can produce and fill small and large containers, in various formats, including wide-mouth jars and bottles with handles. They can also work with all types of liquids. Linear units have simple mechanical movements, which facilitates use and keeps maintenance requirements low. This, together with an advantageous investment cost, leads to a highly competitive Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
