SIPA's Innovation for Santè Isotonic Drink

When Valencia Citrus, the Bolivian producer of health beverages, sought an innovative container for its latest Santè isotonic beverage, it looked to SIPA for assistance. SIPA rose to the occasioneffectively.

But what precisely are isotonic beverages? They boast similar salt and sugar concentrations to those found in the human body, aiming to swiftly replenish fluids lost during physical activity while supplying carbohydrates for energy.

With visions of a fit, robust, and healthy physique in mind – envision a toned midsection, muscular core, and broad shoulders – SIPA's designers conceived the striking blueprint presented here. However, aesthetics alone weren't the focus. Bearing in mind the principle of form following function, the designers seamlessly integrated trapezoidal panels into the bottle's structure to prevent distortion during cooling after hot-filling with the beverage.

The innovative technical solution underpinning this design is so ingenious that SIPA holds a patent for it.

SIPA not only devised the bottle design but also executed the prototyping. Subsequently, once Valencia Citrus approved the project, it acquired one of SIPA's SFL 4/4 linear stretch-blow molding systems to manufacture the one-liter bottles. Each bottle tips the scales at 52 grams and features a 33-millimeter thread.
